Description

A giant arbor with a stern countenance watch with squinted eyes and crossed arms in the cold technological hallways of the mobile research facility of the High Evolutionary villain, where his best friend was genetically and cybernetically modified in the past. Now adult and mature, with new advanced abilities, he fights alongside his allies against the crazy geneticist and his experiments in the utopic creation of a perfect race. Seen firsthand on Iron Studios’ booth at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, the statue "Groot - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - Art Scale 1/10", with the beloved plant hero in his most recent version in the MCU, meticulously reproduced down to the tiniest details of the character, over a diorama base that reminds the interior of the complex spaceship of the Arête Laboratories, in a new series with the statues of Star-Lord and Rocket completing the set.

Native of Planet X, the capital of the plant worlds, Groot is a Floral Colossi, and, even though he has human intellect, his robust and heavyweight physiology caused the organs of his acoustic generation to become stiff and inflexible, rendering the limits of his speech to the simple phrase, "I am Groot." Groot was locked in an intergalactic zoo, used in an exhibition for tourists. A robotic guard called Tibius Lark liked Groot and ended up freeing him. He and Lark became friends while they were traveling the galaxy when Groot accumulated a long list of crime accusations, and then they were arrested. Lark was gravely wounded in the prison where he and Groot met another prisoner called Rocket, who Lark started liking. Since Lark knew that his time was over, he told Rocket to take care of Groot. Lark soon later died, which allowed Rocket to see his robotic parts. Rocket then used the parts to create a weapon. The new duo then left the dungeon, Groot with Rocket on his shoulder. Groot and Rocket Racoon then became mercenary and bounty hunter partners when they met Peter Quill, the Star-Lord, and ended up joining and creating the Guardians of the Galaxy to face the villain Ronan, the Accuser, working for Thanos. In the final battle on Ronan’s spaceship, the Dark Aster fell on planet Xandar, so Groot transformed his body into a big wooden dome to save the other Guardians, allowing the group to survive a fall into the low orbit. Although Groot died in the crash impact, the team recovered from the forced landing, and, after defeating Ronan, Rocket then recovered a sprout from Groot’s mortal remains, and planted it in a pot. Groot slowly began to grow up and became a new tree that, as a child, became the group’s mascot protected by Rocket. As a teenager, he fought in the Infinity Saga, where he grew his arm to an appropriate length to break it with his hand and create the wooden handle of the enchanted axe Stormbreaker for Thor. Sometime later, in the reconstruction of Knowhere, Groot, now an adult, alongside the other Guardians, took care of Quill, who was depressed after losing Gamora. After the attack of Adam Warlock, a super-powerful being created by the Sovereign to get revenge against the Guardians. Groot and the others found the version of Gamora from another reality, secretly summoned by Nebula to help them save Rocket, wounded in combat. To do that, they need to face together the threats from the past of the small raccoon.
